We built Scintiflama to help people find real compatibility, and doing that responsibly means being clear about what information we collect and why. This policy applies to all users of the Service, including visitors, registered members, and subscribers.

• Account and profile data — your name, email address, date of birth, gender, photos, bio, birth information used for astrological matching (birth date, time, and location), and preferences you provide when creating or updating your profile.
• Location data — approximate or precise location, where permitted by your device settings, used to show you relevant matches nearby.
• Usage data — how you interact with the Service, including matches viewed, messages sent, features used, and session activity.
• Payment information — if you subscribe to a paid tier, payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card details ourselves; Stripe handles that information under its own security and privacy practices.
• Device and log data — IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, and log data such as timestamps and error reports.

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and maintain your account
• Generate compatibility matches using our matching methodology
• Operate, maintain, and improve the Service
• Process subscription payments and manage billing
• Communicate with you about your account, updates, and support requests
• Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and safety violations
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information to advertisers or other third parties. We share information only with the following categories of service providers, and only as needed to operate the Service:

• Supabase — our database and infrastructure provider, used to securely store account and application data.
• Stripe — our payment processor, used to handle subscription billing.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of our users, or in connection with a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition.

We use industry-standard technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. To make a request, contact us using the information below and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the Service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may affect how the Service functions.

The Service is intended for users 18 years of age and older and is not directed to minors. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected information from a minor, we will take steps to delete it.

If you access the Service from outside the country where our servers are located, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in a different jurisdiction. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer of information.
